Questions we hear most
Plain answers to what people ask us most. If yours isn't here, ask and we'll add it.
Cost and payment
How much does a website cost for a small business in Ohio?
A new Webify site typically starts at $2,500 for up to six pages, plus $50 to $149 a month for a website plan. A store typically adds $1,800 or more and booking adds $650 or more. If you only need the basics, a one-page starter site is $850. Use the estimator on our pricing page for your number. Your proposal confirms it in writing.
Why is the Action Plan $750 when other agencies offer a free audit?
A free audit usually exists to sell you something. A paid plan has to be useful on its own. It's credited in full if you go ahead and refunded if we can't find five fixes worth making.
Can I pay for a build over time?
Yes. A build can be spread over 10 monthly payments on top of your website plan. The first payment is due before we start.
Search and AI
Do I need a website if I have Facebook?
Not always. Plenty of customers find a business from its Google profile alone, and we'll tell you if that's enough for you. A website helps when people compare you with competitors, when you want Google and AI assistants to describe you correctly, and when Facebook changes who sees your posts. It's also the one place online that doesn't depend on a social media company's rules. If your Facebook account is hacked, locked, or suspended, your business page can go with it, and getting it back is up to Facebook. A website keeps your hours, services, and contact details online no matter what happens there. If you'd like to start small, a one-page starter site is $850.
How long does local search work take to show?
Google profile fixes often show in your map numbers within a few weeks. Content and search work usually take two to three months. We report both monthly so you can see the trend.
Can you guarantee a first-page ranking or an AI mention?
No, and nobody can promise that. What we promise is the work: complete listings, fast pages that answer the questions customers ask, and a monthly report that shows whether it's moving.
What does "AI answers" mean?
Whether ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google's AI name your business when someone nearby asks for what you sell. We check it monthly and fix what stops you being found.
Working together
How do we communicate?
Mostly in writing, by email or text. You can text or call (419) 635-7008. If you call, leave a voicemail with your name, email, and what you need, and we'll reply by email. When a screen is easier than a paragraph we send a short recording. We reply within one business day.
What do you build on?
Duda for most new sites because it's fast, secure, and easy for your team to edit. WordPress where you already have it and BigCommerce for larger stores. You get a login either way.
Can you clean up my logo?
Yes. The brand starter kit, from $595, cleans up and redraws the logo you already have in full color, one color, and white. It also includes a color palette, two fonts, a one-page brand sheet, social profile images, a business card layout, and a flyer template. A brand new logo is from $850, with three concepts and two rounds of changes, or $1,250 together with the kit.
What happens if I cancel my website plan?
We'll work with you on it. Your site is built and hosted on our platform so it doesn't move on its own. We'll hand over as much as we can (content, images, and form data) so you can get set up wherever you'd like. If we manage your domain, we'll transfer it to you.
What if my site gets hacked?
It's included on every website plan, Care and Care Plus too. We restore your site from a clean backup, update whatever let them in, and change the passwords at no charge. On WordPress plans, this starts once onboarding is done and backups are running. If the backups are affected too, a deeper cleanup is $85 an hour, and we'll give you an estimate first.
Can I switch to a lower plan in the off-season?
Yes. You can move to a lower plan for your slow months and back up when the season starts. Hosting continues either way so your site stays online. The lowest plans are Essential at $55 a month if we host your site, or Care at $50 if you keep your own WordPress hosting. Seasonal businesses can also look at the Seasonal Opener, four months of local search, ads, and email before the busy season, or keep their Google profile current for $95 a month with Off-season upkeep.
Do you work with nonprofits?
Yes. Nonprofits, churches, and historical societies are a big part of our roster. Registered nonprofits get 15% off website plans and monthly marketing plans.
Domains, email, and accessibility
Can you set up email with my business name?
Yes. We set up Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 on your domain, so you can use an address like you@yourbusiness.com. Setup is $150 for up to three people, and it includes the settings that keep your mail out of spam. Google or Microsoft bills you for it monthly.
Can you look after my domain?
Yes. Most clients let us register and renew their domain, so there's one less bill to keep track of. It's registered to your business, not to us. Standard domains renew for $20 a year. If you'd rather keep your domain in your own account, we'll connect it and watch the renewal date for you. Either way, privacy protection and auto-renew are on, so your site and email don't go down by surprise. If you ever move on, we'll transfer your domain to you.
Is my website accessible?
Every site we build is checked against the WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility guidelines, with an automated scan and a hands-on keyboard check before launch. We look for readable color contrast, descriptive text on images, labeled forms, and a site that works with a keyboard and a screen reader. For an existing site, the Website Action Plan includes an accessibility check.
Do you use an accessibility widget?
No. Toolbar widgets that promise instant compliance don't fix the problems in the site itself, and businesses using them are still sued over accessibility. We fix the site instead. If you notice anything on our site that's hard to use, email team@webifyohio.com and we'll fix it.
